A
A type of polymorphic VT caused by QT prolongation eg, hypokalaemia

What is the management of torsades?
A
Haemodynamically unstable - DC cardioversion + amiodarone
Haemodynamically stable - Magnesium sulphate

What are some causes of long QT intervals?
A
TIMMES
Toxins,
Inherited
Ischaemia
Myocarditis
Mitral valve prolapse
Electrolyte abnormalities
Subarachnoid haemorrhage

What is the treatment for the different types of heart block?
A
Type 1 - No treatment
Morbitz type 1 - No treatment
Morbitz type 2 - Permanent pacemaker as high risk of complete heart block
Third degree (complete HB) - Permenant pacemaker as risk of sudden cardiac death
