Why was the USSR blamed ?
They believed in World Revolution - spreading the influence of communism.

They had suffered and had set up the buffer zone in order to prevent invasion.

They were preoccupied with preventing the spread of communism

They had genuine fears of communism spreading and did not want to punish Germany severely.
What security factor caused expansion?
The USSR were invaded in 1914 and 41 and so they needed the buffer zone to protect them.
What was the percentages deal?
This involved the USSR and UK making deals over allied supervision over the countries.
For Greece, the U.K. had 90% and the USSR had 10%
Why was a communist government needed for Poland?
This was as a communist government was needed in order to protect the Russians from invasion.
Why did the USSR want to expand?
The USSR had been invaded twice by the Germans. Poland had signed a non aggression pact with France and during the war Hungary and Romania opposed the USSR
