A

Believing theres two things, immaterial and material. Oldest and most intuitive. It puts conscious information processing at the centre.

Mind-body problem

A

Humans tend to think that the mind arises from the brain, but is more than just the brain itself (Chalmers). This is bc conscious information processing gives us a feeling of being in control. But we can’t explain how the mind is linked to the body

A

Free will

A

Situation in which you can choose action:
- Must be able to do otherwise (not necessary)
- Act must originate in agent, not an external force (intention is cause of the act)
- Intention of behaviour precedes behaviour
