Hypercalcemia, V-fib, digitalis toxicity
What are the side/adverse effects of Calcium Chloride?
Cardiac arrest, dysrhythmias, bradycardia, peripheral vasodilation.
What is the route and administration of Calcium Chloride?
IV/ IO
May repeat as needed every 5 minutes push slowly.
(Crush injury) Give Prior to releasing load
What is the adult dose of Calcium Chloride?
500-1000mg

What is the pediatric dose of Calcium Chloride?
20 mg/kg

Stimulates lactation, seizures, anxiety, dysrhythmias
