A
- occurs when the tracheoesophageal septum deviates too far dorsally, causing the esophagus to end as a closed tube

A
- occurs when the lumen of the esophagus is narrowed and usually involves the midesophagus
- may be caused by submucosal/muscularis externa hypertrophy

A
- occurs most commonly due to a congenital esophageal cyst, which is usually found in the lower esophagus

A
- caudal end of the stomach is separated from the duodenum by formation of the pyloric sphincter
