A state of complete mental, physical and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity
Fitness
The ability to meet the demands of the environment
Well-being
A mix of physical, mental and social factors that give a person a scene of being comfortable, healthy and/or happy
Physical health and well being
All body systems are working well, free from illness and injury and having the ability to carry out everyday task
Mental health and well-being
A state in which every individual realise his or her own Potential, can cope with the normal stresses of life, can work productively and fruitfully and is able to make a contribution to his or her own community
Social health and well being
Basic human needs are meet (food, shelter clothing etc). The individual has shelter and support, some value to society, is socially active and has little stress in social circumstances
Sedentary lifestyle
Where you do very little out of your home
Obesity
Where you have a BMI (body mass index) of 30 or over
Carbohydrates
This is the main energy source of the body and they produce energy during exercise
Simple carbohydrates
Found in foods such as sugar, milk and fruits
Complex carbohydrates
Found in food such as bread, pasta, potatoes, rice and beans
Proteins
These are needed for growth and repair.
Animal proteins
In foods such as fish, chicken and red meat
Vegetable protein
In foods such as beans, grains and food from animals such as milk, egg and cheese
Vitamins
These help to maintain good health. But only small quantities are needed within your diet
