- Muscle to fat ratio
- How large you are in size
- Men usually have a slightly higher metabolism
- Regular Exercise
- Genetic Factors
What is Malnourishment?
A diet that is out of balance
What is obesity defined as?
20% or more over the maximum recommended Body Mass
What are some health problems caused by Obesity?
Arthritis
Type 2 Diabetes
High Blood Pressure
Heart disease
What can too much saturated fat cause?
A high cholesterol level

- Slow growth in children
- Fatigue
- Poor immune systems

Diseases caused by a lack of vitamins and minerals

- It increases the amount of energy used by the body

An under active Thyroid gland

It slows it down
How do people lose weight?
Eating less fat or carbohydrates than their energy use, by increasing excercise
