Indication -

  1. Seizures secondary to head trauma/alcohol withdrawal.
  2. Status epilepticus.
  3. For pacing, cardioversion, and post Rapid Sequence Intubation for relief of anxiety, tension, and to diminish recall of procedures.
  4. Severe muscle spasm.
  5. Severe anxiety.

Dosage and Administration -
1. Pediatric: 0.2 mg/kg IV/IO in increments no greater than 2 mg to a maximum dose of 10 mg. Wait 1-2 minutes between doses to observe effect. Rectally, 0.5 mg/kg not to exceed 20 mg. Wait at least 5 minutes before giving a second dose. Contact May Bridge for more repeated doses. Administer rectal dose with 3 mL syringe (without needle) inserted as far as possible.
