Pathophysiology of diabetes insipidus?
A
ADH is released normally and is used at the kidneys distal convoluted tubule to move water from tubule to the blood and dilutes it bringing osmality to normal levels.
However in diabetes insipidus ADH doesnt work and isnt released causing you to want to piss alot.

Symptoms of diabetes Inspidus
A
Polyuria - where you piss alot
Polydypsia -Where your thirsty alot
Dehydration
low blood pressure

How to diagnose diabetes insipidus?
A
Do a water deprivation test

How to treat diabetes insipidus?
A
Desmopressin is given as medication and acts as synthetic ADH.
