Where is the L1 dermatome?
in the hip crease
Where is the L2 dermatome?
upper anterior and all of lateral thigh
Where is the L3 dermatome?
medial thigh and over knee
Where is the L4 dermatome?
medial lower limb and big toe (top and bottom)
Where is the L5 dermatome?
lateral lower limb and middle three toes (top and bottom)
Where is the S1 dermatome?
little toe, lateral malleolus and the underside of the foot
Where is the S2 dermatome?
middle of the back of the thigh to half way down the calf
What is the L2 myotome?
Hip flexion
What is the L3 myotome?
Knee extension
What is the L4 myotome?
Dorsiflexion/inversion
What is the L5 myotome?
Great toe extension
What is the S1 myotome?
Ankle eversion
What is the S2 myotome?
Ankle plantarflexion
Where is the C3 dermatome?
upper traps to acromion
Where is the C4 dermatome?
upper part of deltoid (front, side and back)
Where is the C5 dermatome?
lateral upper arm down to lateral 1/2 of upper forearm
Where is the C6 dermatome?
middle part of anterior arm down to 1/2 of upper forearm
Where is the C7 dermatome?
middle 3 fingers - both sides & lower 1/2 of middle posterior forearm
Where is the C8 dermatome?
little finger - front and back to the ulnar head
Where is the T1 dermatome?
Axilla
What is the C1 myotome?
double chins
What is the C2 myotome?
chin out
What is the C3 myotome?
ear to shoulder
What is the C4 myotome?
shoulders up
What is the C5 myotome?
chicken wings
What is the C6 myotome?
elbow flexion
What is the C7 myotome?
elbow extension
What is the C8 myotome?
thumb extension
What is the T1 myotome?
finger adduction
