Syndrome due to disease of the brain

Alzheimer’s: the most common (>50%)

Depression: pseudo-dementia, co-morbid in 20% of dementias

Beware:
Dementia and depression together
Depression can affect cognitive function e.g. slowing, poor concentration etc.
