Q

What is the procedure for carrying out this titration?

Degree of hydration of sodium carbonate titration

A
Weigh out an accurate mass of crystals.
Dissolve in deionised water( weak base)
Make up to mark in 250cm3 volumetric flask.
Invert 10 times to make the solution homogeneous.
Pipette(20cm3) into conical flask.
Titrate with a standard solution of HCL.
Add methyl orange indicator.
Endpoint- solution turns red.
