German unification.. Bismarck picks a fight with France to unify Germany. Prussia unifies with Germany and fights with France. & frank-Prussian war.. Alliance system builds up for WWI. France is bitter at Germany for using them. Germany is paranoid that France is gonna fight France again. Turn to Austria. France gets Brit and Russia. Leads up to WWI.

Maji reforms in Japan.. Matthew perry opens up Japan. Japan wants to industalaze and change feudal order. Change politically. Doesn’t want to end up like Japan. Use military to get land and resources they need. Wanted to have an alliance with America.

Revolution in China. End of Qing empire. Followed boxer rebellion. Blamed for being foreign, opium wars, treaty. Beings civil war between nationalist and communists.

WWI.. First cause by German unification in franko-Prussian war. Alliance war. If not for alliances, everyone would not have to go to war. Colonies were dragged into war as well. Industrial advancement are seen, airplanes, gas, tanks. Total war, everyone at home is involved, economy, all that the country is worried about.
