Q

What system is impaired in Parkinson’s

A

The supplementary motor area is impaired but the pre motor area remains intact therefore automatic subconscious posture and movement is lost but abnormalities can often be overcome by voluntary effort use of PMA so external cues can be used as a coping strategy in treatment
