When is the fuel transfer system used?
When fuel is carried in the center tank to the wing tanks
When does the fuel transfer system activate?
When the level of fuel in a wing tank drops to 94%, the fuel system computer initiates the transfer by opening the appropriate fuel transfer valve.
When does the fuel computer automatically start the x-flow/APU pump and xflow valve?
When a wing tank imbalance of 91 kg occurs. (Shuts off within 23 kg of imbalance)
When does a Fuel Imbalance caution message appear?
When the fuel imbalance between the wing tanks exceeds 360 kg.
When does “Gravity mode” activate, and how?
If power crossflow system is incapable of correcting the imbalance. You can move fuel from one wing tank to the other by opening the gravity xflow shutoff valve.
