What settings are available to you on your oxygen mask? When does the flow start?
Opening the stowage box’s mask automatically initiates the oxygen flow
100% - pure O2. 22 minutes 41,000-10,000
Normal - diluted mix will give 98 minutes more after the emergency descent
EMER- pure O2 with positive pressure to force smoke out. Makes communication more difficult
What happens to the speaker and internal mask mic when you take the mask out of the holder?
As long as mic is in Auto the speaker and mask mic will automatically activate
How many masks are in each PSU?
3 masks per side. 6 per row
How long can each PSU provide oxygen to passengers?
12 minutes
Can I manually deploy the oxygen masks?
Yes
When will oxygen masks deploy automatically?
Between 14,000-14,750 ft of cabin altitude
What are the three ways you know the PAX O2 masksdeployed?
There is an indication on the PAX O2 panel.
The fasten seatbelt sign and no smoking sign automatically turn on
The PAX O2 generators produce a lot of heat. As dust particles burn off a small amount of smoke is normal
