- Form (has the artist used form or flat shapes?).
- Tone (the use of light and dark).
Oil pastels are a similar medium to wax crayons as they are
thick and have an oil base.

• However, they are bright in colour and are easy to carry as you
do not need additional supplies such as with painting

colour to an artwork an overlay is similar to glazing but is semitransparent rather than fully transparent.

There are different types of public art in South Africa such as

raise awareness and help celebrate our important leaders.
Since public sculptures are mostly found outdoors, they are made from materials that
can
withstand the elements such as rain and sun.
