What is the function of CNI ?
Smell
What is the function of CNII ?
Vision
What is the function of CNIII?
Eye movement via innervation of extraoccular muscles (SR,MR,IR,IO) and eyelid (LPS), constriction of pupils and ciliary muscles
What is the function of CNIV?
Eye movement
What is the function of CNV?
Sensation from face, mouth, muscles of mastication
What does CNV1 innervate?
Cornea, scalp, eyelids and nasal mucosa
What does CNV2 innervate?
Face, maxilla, TMJ, Maxillary Sinus
What does CNV3 innervate?
Muscles of mastication, Digastric Muscles, Palatine and Tensor Tympani
What is the function of CNVI?
Eye movement (LR)
What is the visceral motor function of CNVII?
Parasympathetic innervation of submandibular and sublingual salivary glands, lacrimal glands and glands of nose and palate
What is the somatic motor function of the CNVII?
Innervation to the muscles of facial expression, scalp, stapes of middle ear, part of the digastric muscle
What is the special sensory function of the CNVII?
Taste from anterior 2/3 of tongue and soft palate
What is the function of the CNVIII?
Hearing and vestibular sensation from semicircular ducts, utricle and saccule - gives sense of position and movement
What is the sensory function of CNIX?
Taste of posterior 1/3 of tongue, cutaneous sensation from middle ear and post. oral cavity
What is the motor functions of CNIX?
Parasympathetic innervation of parotid gland and swallowing via the stylopharyngeus
What are the sensory functions of CNX?
Taste (epiglottis and soft palate), sensation from auricle and External Acoustic Meatus, innervation to the pharynx, larynx, trachea, bronchi, oesophagus, stomach, heart and intestine
What are the motor functions of the CNX?
Parasympathetic innervation of muscles in bronchi, gut and heart. Innervation of pharynx, larynx, palate and oesophagus
What are the functions of CNXI?
Innervation of the striated muscles of soft palate, pharynx, larynx, SCM and trapezius
What are the functions of CNXII?
Innervate the muscles of the tongue
