• Everything we do is checked against the Principal Objective, we must be able to say ‘yes’ to it being right for our partners, shareholders, and Cintas. If it doesn’t make sense for all three, then we need to ask ourselves why are we doing this.

A

• A manager that is incompatible with the culture cannot succeed. It doesn’t happen over night and usually takes 3 to 4 years. But understanding the principle objective character and management system is a good start.

  1. Provides management with control- without a management system we lose control and set ourselves up for problems.
  2. Provides consistency- we have the assurance of knowing that all Cintas operations are running the same
  3. Training tool- the system defines what will occur most often in a job and what to do when it occurs.
  4. Communication- our communication system allows us to communicate with each other by providing common dialogue.
