Mismatch between myocardial oxygen supply and demand
What are the risk factors of coronary heart disease?
Atherosclerotic plaque
What are the clinical features of angina?
Retrosternal chest pain or pressure (radiate to left arm, neck, jaw, epigastric region, or back)
Dyspnea
Dizziness, palpitations
Autonomic symptoms (e.g., diaphoresis, nausea, vomiting, syncope)
What is the difference between stable and unstable angina?
Stable: Symptoms reproducible under physical or mental stress
Unstable: Angina at rest, usually not relieved by rest or nitroglycerin
How is coronary heart disease diagnosed?

(Cardiac stress test) Physical or Chemical (using adenosine or dobutamine)

What is the treatment for coronary heart disease?
(All) Risk factor reduction and anti-platelet drugs (i.e. aspirin or clopidogrel)
(Meds) Beta-blockers, nitrates, calcium channel blockers,
(Revascularization)
