-Mechanise
-Reduction competition of other plants
-Tend to specific needs of grape variety= higher yields, minimise cost

What are the disadvantages of conventional viticulture?
A
-Monoculture= more prone to disease= more treatment.
-Nutrients depleted- no natural eco system to replenish nutrients= more fertilisers.
Environmental damage- residual chemicals get into groundwater/air.
