It allows the liver to remove glucose from the blood.
How does adding glucagon to the blood increase the amount of glucose in the blood?
Glucagon makes the liver add glucose to the blood.

What is type 1 diabetes caused by?
A lack of insulin
Why is a lack of insulin bad?
A persons blood glucose level can rise dangerously.
How can this be controlled?
Limiting the intake of foods rich in simple carbohydrates.
Regular exercise
Insulin therapy - this involves objecting insulin into the blood.
