2) Contains material that could engulf a person
3) Is shaped that a person could be caught or asphyxiated by inwardly tapering walls or floors that slope downward tapering into a smaller cross section
4) Contains any recognized serious health or safety hazards

17
Q

It is critical that rescuers remain in

A

Direct line of sight with the outside and their exit

18
Q

Each member entering a confined space must be secured in a

A

Bowline on a bight and slippery hitch to a LSR

19
Q

Preferred high point

A

Tower ladder

Can use aerial if needed

20
Q

TL weight supporting capability

A

At least 800 Pounds

21
Q

Aerial weight supporting capability

A

250 Pounds

22
Q

Aerial or TL shall never be used as a

A

Crane

23
Q

Once the TL or Aerial is in position

A

All personnel must be removed from the turntable and the engine shut off to prevent accidental movement

24
Q

The IC should ensure the response of the

A

Advanced Life Support Personnel from EMS

25
Q

Post _____radio equipped members with necessary tools at each location which controls flow/energy at inside space

A

2 members

26
Q

What must be set up before members enter the confined space

A

Retrieval system

27
Q

A

19.5% - 23.5%

28
Q

Not over 10 PPM hydrogen Sulfide

30
Q

Ensure necessary response of

A
2 Rescues
Squad
Haz Mat
3 Engines
2 Ladders
SOC Support ladder
EMS Advanced Life Support
31
Q

Can we vent the confined space with positive pressure fans to remove the hazard

A

Yes

32
Q

Medical concerns for the patient

A
  • Asses patients medical status as soon as contact is made
  • Normally it is for trauma (patient falls)
  • Unconscious victims should be immobilized
  • During removal need access to the head to monitor the victim
  • If atmosphere is a threat to a breathing victim place separate SCBA mask on victim
  • Do not use ambu-bags, resuscitators unless evaluated, it is best to remove the victim to a safe atmosphere
