memory, controls emotions and motor functions

connects the left and right hemispheres of the brain and communication/ information between both
what does the cerebellum do
co-ordinated movements, balance/posture
what does the medulla oblongata control
autonomic functions such as: respiratory, circulatory and digestion systems
what does the spinal cord do
relays information between brain and rest of body
what does Pons do
controls create of breathing, sleep, hearing, taste, balance and arousal
what does the pituitary gland do
its produces hormones, which control and regulate other glands in the body
what does the hypothalamus do
controls hormone release, body temperature regulation sexual behaviour, food and water intake, emotions and homeostasis
what does the thalamus do
controls motor information (movement), facilitates the acquisition of knowledge
