Flexibility
Range of movement possible at a joint.
Important in ALL activities.
Reaction time
Time it takes to respond to a stimulus.
To make quick decisions and have fast reactions.
Stimulus: starting pistol, ball, whistle.
Power
Ability to do strength performances quickly.
To have it ,speed and strength have to work together.
Speed
Amount of time it take to perform particular action or cover a particular distance.
Agility
Ability to change position of body quickly while maintaining control of movement.
Balance
Ability to retain body’s centre of mass above base of support.
Co-ordination
Ability to use two or more body parts together.
Body composition
Relative ratio of fat mass to fat-free mass in the body.
Strength
Amount of force a muscle can exert against resistance.
Cardiovascular fitness
The ability to exercise the entire body for long periods of time without getting tired
