What is care?
Attending to the physical, psychological and social needs of an individual. An obligation of someone to prevent harm or distress occurring to another.
What are the core conditions of care?
empathy, congruence, unconditional positive regard

What were some implemented changes of the hospital?
promoting honest and open culture, statutory “duty of candour” and that fundamental standards should be policed by a single regulator.
What are some of the aspects of care?
encouraged manner, human respect, affiliation needs and attending to basic human needs.
What are the NHS 6C’s?
care, compassion, competence, communication, courage and commitment.
Examples of power imbalance?
inform patients about shared decision making, challenge attitudes, promote social acceptability of this role and reassure patients.
What are the eight dignity factors?
choice and control, communication, eating and nutritional care, pain management, personal hygiene, practical assistance, privacy and social inclusion.
Some CQC standards are?
all staff must remain respectful, treat patients with dignity and respect, patients must not be neglected and safeguard the privacy of patients.
