Describe the CVR test.

-Parking brake ON
-Both volume knobs OFF
-ACP INT/RAD switch set to INT
-Press CVR TEST pb and listen for the frequency through the speakers

What is the purpose of the GND CTL pb? Why do we select it on during preflight?

Answer 2

Allows the pilot to activate the CVR when the logic has automatically deactivated it. It is G4 policy to record all checklists during preflight.

*When is the RCDR normally on in AUTO?

Answer 3

-For 5 mins after electrical power is supplied to the aircraft, or 5 mins after last engine shutdown.
-When at least one engine is operating.

*How do you record the FAs PAs?

Answer 4

ACP 3 PA VOL knob out, AND set at or above medium range.
