Q

Using the dilution factors
Make 300ul of a 1:250 dilutions

Final volume /solute volume

A

300ul /250 =1.2ul

300-1.2ul=298.8ul

Q

If I add 25 ml of water to 125 ml of a 0.15 M NaoH solution , What will the molarity be ?

A

25 divided by 1000=0.25L
125 divided by 1000=0.125L
0.15 M

0.15 x 0.125 divided by 0.15 L .

Q

If I leave 750mL of a 0.50 M sodium chloride solution uncovered on wind lane, 150mL of solvent evaporates , what will the new concentration be ?

To what Volume would I need to add water to evaporate solution in above question to get solution of 0.25M ?

A

750 -150=600 divided by 100 =0.6L
750 divided by 1000=0.75 L

  1. 50M times 0.75 divided by 0.6 =0.625m
  2. 625x0.6 divided by 0.25 M = 1.5
