A

when coastlines are submerged under water due to rising sea levels could be as a result of an increase in water volume or the sinking of the lands surface

A

when bands of different types of rocks run perpendicular (at 90•) to the coast
these bands of rocks alternate between soft and hard rock all eroding at different rates
