Security of A/C away from base
When necessary to leave a/c on field, airport, beach, body of water, or other area where military or naval personnel cannot take custody, PIC shall take proper measures to ensure safety of A/C and classified equipment.
Multiple A/C: Senior aviator shall be responsible

Unit commanders and PICs shall make every effort to get contract unless:
- Mission requirements dictate
- Flight terminated as result of emergency
- Flight terminated at alternate

PIC shall review a discrepancies and corrective actions for last 10 flights
Shall sign A sheet assuming full responsibility for safe op of a/c and safety of other individuals aboard

Operational Flying Duty
Flying performed under competent orders by designated personnel while in assignments in which basic fling skills are normally maintained in the performance of flight duties as determined by SECNAV.

HAC Requirements (CNAF)
To be qualified as a HAC, the NATOPS manual shall establish the designation for the particular model and an individual shall:
- Have completed the requirements for and posses to an advanced degree the knowledge, proficiency, and capabilities of a second pilot.
- Have a minimum of 500 total flight hours.
- Have 150 flight hours in rotary wing aircraft
- Have pilot hours in class and model required by the CO or higher authority and demonstrate the proficiency and judgement required to ensure the successful accomplishment of all tasks of the unit mission
- Demonstrate the ability to command and train the offficers and enlisted members of the Flightcrew
- Demonstrate the qualities of leadership required to conduct advanced base or detached unit operations as OIC when such duty is required as part of the units mission or method of operation.
Instrument Rating (CNAF)
All naval pilots in DIFOPS are required to maintain valid instrument rating.
May be accomplished w/in 60 days preceding expiration. Valid for 12 months after last day of month.
CO May extend 90 days after deployment
