Bone marrow can become fibrotic and have dry tap
Fried egg appearance
TRAP stain positive
Multiple Myeloma
Presents with bone pain, fractures, hypercalcemia, renal insufficiency, anemia, bone lesions (CRAB)
Rouleaux is present due to antibodies in high concentration
Dutcher bodies, Mott cells, Bence Jones proteins
Monoclonal spike seen due to IgG antibodies
Lymphomas
Malignant accumulation of lymphocytes in the lymph nodes
Hodgkin’s Lymphoma
B cell cancer
See Reed-Sternberg cells (owl eyes)
Progresses in a predictable manner from one group of lymph nodes to the next
Very treatable
