Generalized Anxiety
Excessive worry about everyday things at a disproportionate level.
Fatigue, agitation, irritability, sleepless, distracted
6 months ongoing
More days than not

Medication: anti-anxiety
Benzodiazepines
Panic Disorder
Agoraphobia
Regular, strong, unexpected panic attacks and worry about having an attack. Often triggered by stimuli
Panic attacks and intense anxiety related to the attack for 1 month
Specific Phobias
Fear of blood-injury-injection, situations (elevators, planes), nature (heights) or other (choking)
Irrational fear of specific situations that interfere with life function
NO Medication
Social Anxiety
Fear of social situations which limit functioning. Can be caused by trauma.
Fear associated with with social situations that interfere with life
PTSD
Sense of intense fear triggered by past trauma that another traumatic event might occur. Can experience flashbacks or nightmares.
exposed/involved in an event with the threat of death, injury or sexual violence as a witness, first responder or victim
Obsessive Compulsive
Engages in obsessive behaviors in an attempt to ease anxiety. Thought-action fusion.
Experiences compulsions in an irrational manner
Manic/Hypomanic episode
Grandiosity, goal obsession, psychomotor agitation, reduced sleep, racing thoughts, distracted, talkative, risky behavior
3+ symptoms with a euphoric mood for 1 week (mania) or 4 days (hypomania)
Major depressive episode
Anhedonia, weight/eating change, insomnia/hypersomnia, psychmotor changes, fatigue, guilt, concentration loss, suicidal thoughts
Depressed or diminished interest and another 3 symptoms for 2 weeks
Major Depressive
1+ MDE and no history of mania
Antidepressants MAOIs, tricyclics, SSNIs and SSRIs (most common)
ECT - inducing a seizure
TMS - magnetic waves
DB - electrode stim.
BT, IT and CBT
Persistent Depressive
Poor appetite or overeating, Insomnia/hypersomnia, fatigue, low self esteem, poor concentration, hopelessness
Feeling depressed most of the times for 2 years and 2+ symptoms
Bipolar 1
Single or recurrent manic episode
SSRIs and SSNIs for depression, Lithium for mania
IPSRT
Bipolar 2
Single or recurrent hypomanic episodes and depressive episodes
Cyclothymic
Numerous alternate periods of hypomania and depression (not MDE), lasting 2 years
Schizophrenia
Neg- flat affect, anhedonia, apathy
Pos - hallucinations, delusions, disorganized behavior
2 symptoms and impairment and in areas of life
Antipsychotic medication - typical and atypical
Cognitive remediation therapy
Schizophreniform
2 symptoms for 1-6 months
