The City Chambers building was erected in 1888 and was opened by Queen Victoria. For this reason she is depicted on this building. Can you spot her?

Tollbooth

In the 15th Century, the town council met in a tollbooth at the corner of High Street and Trongate (which we will see later) before town council meetings moved to the City Chambers
