Circuits Flashcards
SPELLLING ROSIE
At what angle do you draw wire corners on a circuit?
90 degrees.
Where should you not draw components on a circuit diagram?
On the corners.
In what units do ammeters measure the flow of current?
Amps per second.
Why are two separate lights on a parallel circuit brighter than two lights on a series circuit?
The current slows down as it delivers energy to the bulbs but because in the parallel circuit, the current has two separate paths to get to the bulbs, the current will stay at the same speed.
In the bakery model, what do the vans represent?
Charge, flowing around the circuit.
In the bakery model, what does the bakery represent?
The cell/cells.
In the bakery model, what do the loaves of bread represent?
The loaves of bread represent energy or Joules.
In the bakery model, what does the supermarket represent?
The bulb.
What is charge measured in?
Coulombs.
Define an electric charge.
The electrical state of an object which can be positively charged or negatively charged.
Define an electric current.
The movement of electrically charged particles.
