Captains responsibilities after an evacuation
A
- checklist items
- take a torch and hand held radio beacon
- enter cabin to monitor or assist with the evacuation
- After evacuation is complete, move upwind and assist FO with gathering passengers and headcount

First Officer’s responsibilities after an evacuation
A
- Take a torch
- enter cabin and evacuate from the first available exit
- after leaving, utilise ABP’s to keep the base of the exit clear
- Direct passengers upwind and conduct headcount

When can Cabin Crew initiate an evacuation?
A
- Ditching
- Aircraft is broken up
- self sustaining major fire on the ground
- if contact is not possible with Captain or Cabin Manager and evacuation is imperative
