Approx 30 seconds (300 ft AGL)
Primary method - Evacuation command
PA - “This is the Captain, Evacuate, Evacuate”.
Primary Method Emergency Descent imminent
PA - “This is the Captain, Emergency Descent”.
Captain will advise Cabin crew safe to commence follow up procedures after an emergency descent
PA - “This is the Captain, oxygen is no longer required”.
Evacuation is likely
PA - “This is the Captain, Cabin crew to your stations”.
Evacuation is unnecessary
“Cabin crew stand down, cabin crew stand down”
Secondary Method to Summon the Cabin Manager to the flight deck
Cabin call button three (3) times with reset between
- F100 Group 1. 3 single high chimes in the cabin
- F100 Group 2. 3 single high-low chimes in the cabin
- F70. 3 single high-low chimes in the cabin
Secondary method for brace command
fasten seat belt sign cycled 3 times
(will produce six single high chimes in the cabin)
secondary method for evacuation command
fasten seat belt sign cycled 3 times
(will produce 6 single high chimes in the cabin)
Difference between secondary method for Brace and Evacuation command
Brace command - aircraft in the air or moving on the ground
Evacuate - aircraft is stationary on the ground
Evacuation is unlikely
