A brain injury caused by an interruption of blood flow to the brain.
What happens when brain tissue does not get oxygen from blood?
Can die within minutes causing sudden loss in bodily functions.
What are the 2 types of strokes?
Ischemic and Hemorrhagic.
When does Ischemic Stroke occurs?
When the blood flow to the brain is disrupted.
What does an Ischemic Stroke damages?
The controls of movement, language and senses.
When does a Hemorrhagic stroke occurs?
When a blood vessel in the brain leaks or ruptures and damages the surrounding areas of the brain.
