Forgetfulness, impaired social skills and thinking abilities that interfere with daily functioning.
What do people deal when they have Dementia?
It’s hard to have a conversation, doing tasks, like getting dressed and become angry or depressed.
What goes through people in late stage of Dementia?
They don’t care for themselves.
What is the origin of Alzheimer’s disease?
Is unknown but it is not part of getting older.
When the brain typically shrinks to some degree in healthy aging, does it lose neurons in large numbers?
No.
What happens when Alzheimer’s disease damage widespread?
Neurons stop functioning, lose connection with other neurons and die.
Is there cure for Alzheimer’s disease?
No.
What are the goals of treatment for Alzheimer’s disease?
Manage symptoms like behaviors problems, confusion and create an environment to make daily activities easier.
