What is the name of the larva in mollusks ? “NOT ALL MOLLUSKS HAVE A LARVAL STAGE”
Trochophore.
Mollusks have what specialized feeding structure with backward pointing teeth?
Radula.
What secretes calcium carbonate shells to form protective coverings?
Mantle.
How does the mantle affect gas exchange?
Reduces surface area to volume ratio which is the reason gills are developed: to increase the ratio.
What process is involved in creating the shells of snails?
Torsion.
What is torsion?
The visceral mass twists 180 degrees during larval development.
Some mollusks have siphons that facilitate water circulation, what are the siphons called?

What characterizes Oligochaeta?
100 identical segments and similar organs. Circular and longitudinal muscles help movement by changing coelomic pressure.
How do Earthworms eat? And where do the undigested food go?
Soil to mouth to esophagus to crop to gizzard to intestine to blood.
Undigested material exists through the anus.
What is crop in earthworms?
A temporary storage.
What is a gizzard in earthworm?
Grinds things for the earthworm.
