How fast energy is being used. This depends of gender age and physique

Condition where a persons percentage body fat is over 40%
State the BMI measurements for: Underweight Heathy Over weight Obese (Class I) Obese (Class II) Morbidly obese

What are the limitations of BMI
Muscles weigh more the fat so athletes calculated as obese
What are the 7 classes of food?
Carbohydrates, fats, protein, vitamins, minerals, fibre and water
How do the 7 food classes impact sport?
Carbs - provide energy
Fats - energy source for low intensity exercise
Protein - growth and repair
Minerals - bone growth, energy metabolism and nerve function
Vitamins - energy metabolism and formation of tissues
Fibre - reduce blood cholesterol, prevents constipation
Explain why diets would change for different athletes?
Endurance based athletes need more fats and carbohydrates for energy
Power/Strength athletes will need to increase protein
