What are Articles and what are definite and indefinite articles?
A
- Articles- Made up of 3 words (a,an and the) and they modify nouns and adjectives.
- Definite Article- The. We use THE when talking about a specific person, place or thing. Eg: ‘Do it or the teacher will get mad.’
•Indefinite Articles- An and A. When we talk about a general member of a group or no single thing in particular. Eg: ‘Do it or a teacher will get mad.’
(A For consonants-‘a bicycle, a kangaroo’) (An for vowels-‘an ear, an octopus’) (For H use an on a silent h but a on a hard h sound. ‘a hippopotamus, an honour’)

THE cow jumped over the moon.
