Sepsis Ulta mental status
Can be caused by severe metabolic and electrolyte abnormalities caused by the systemic Inflammatory response
Sepsis signs and symptoms
Altered mental status increased heart rate increased respiratory rate low blood pressure high blood glucose decrease capillary refill
Partial seizure
Affecting only one part or one side of the brain
Generalized seizure
Affects entire brain Emt is called most for generalized seizure…by unconsciousness and major motor activity a tonic clonic seizure
Tonic clonic seizure
Three phases
Tonic-Rigid and stiff no more than 30 seconds breeding me stop by tongue bowel and bladder loss of control
Clonic- Body jerks 1 to 2 minutes or up to five cyanotic, drool or foam
Postical- convulsion stop, state of drowsiness, remain unconscious for several hours, headache
Signs and symptoms of stoke
Confusion Dizziness Numbness weakness or paralysis Loss of bowel or bladder control Impaired vision High blood pressure Difficult respiration or snoring Nausea or vomiting Seizure Unequal pupils Headache Loss of vision in one eye Unconsciousness (uncommon)
