Cerebrum
Large upper portion of the brain , it is divided into two hemispheres
Cerebral cortex
The cerebrums thin surface layer of grey matter
Cerebellum
Posterior part of the brain, helps to coordinate movement and to maintain balance and posture
Thalamus
Part of the brain that receives all sensory input
Medulla oblongata
The portion of the brain that connects with the spinal cord. Controls respiration, heart rate, blood pressure.
