What is anatomical position?
To accurately describe body parts and position to avoid confusion
What are directional terms?
Explains location of one body part to another

A cut in between the eyes so that there is a left and right side
What is a frontal body plane?
A cut down the body so that there is a front and back side
What is a transversal body plane?
A cut through the body so that there is a top and bottom half (superior and inferior halves)
What are the two body cavities called?
Dorsal and Ventral
What is the function of a body cavity?
To provide protection to organs within them
