What are “search satisfying” and “confirmation bias”?
A
Search satisfying: once you end what you’re looking for, you stop looking for other causes or probabilities.
Conformation bias: a clinician looks for evidence to support a particular diagnosis. In doing so he may overlook evidence refutes or reduces the probability of that diagnosis
