Latex Hypersensitivity

A

Type 1-IMMEDIATE reaction

Urticaria: hives.
Dermatitis: rash, itching occurs in 5 minutes to 2 hours
Nasal problems: sneezing, itchy nose, runny nose.
Eyes: watery, itchy.
Respiratory reaction: breathing difficulty, asthma-like wheezing, coughing.
Drop in blood pressure: shock.
Anaphylaxis

Type 4-DELAYED reaction (8hrs-5 days after)
Contact dermatitis
