What is the main goal of an initial AV design Meeting?
To determine the functionality of the system.
What is a Needs analysis?
It defines what activities the end users need to perform, then develops functioinal descriptions of the systems that support those needs.
What are the four aspects of a needs analysis pyrimid from top to bottom?
End User Needs, Applications, Tasks, Functions and Features.
What is an example of an end user need?
Provide education, to market a product, provide entertainment, or enhance a worship experience.
What is an example of Applications in a needs analysis pyramid?
Training, Videoconferencing
What is an example of a task in a needs analysis pyramid?
Audio and Video Presentations, taking notes.
What is an example of functions and features in a needs analysis pyramid?
Room lighting, AV systems, sight lines, seating layout, breakout space?
In a lot of cases what can help define an AV system?
The overall function of a room. ie: conference rooms, training rooms/ classrooms.
What is Benchmarking?
Identifying an existing facility that provides capabilites or design elements that the client would like within the facility that your company will be designing and/or installing.
What are some examples of job constraints?
When you can work on site, Noise Limits, Parking, Special care areas, cultural issues, construction timelines.
