Cervical Thoracic Region - Class 2 Flashcards
cervical thoracic region location
from inferior angle of the scap to the occipital bone
laterally to the deltoids
this region has
areas w/ significant amount of tension, tenderness, trigger points
boney landmarks of the cervical and thoracic spine –> posteriorly
inferior, vertebral and lateral borders of the scap
spine of scap
spinous process of C7
nuchal line
transverse process of C1
posterior muscles of the cervical/thoracic spine –> deep
sub occipital
deep intrinsic muscles of spine
sub occipitals
rectus capitis posterior major & minor
obliquus capitus superior
obliquus capitus inferior
deep intrinsic muscles of spine

how do we treat deep muscles of the cervical/thoracic spine
friction & suboccipital release
when do we perform suboccipital release
at the end of tx
