Q
  1. Interphase
A

The longest stage of Mitosis:

  • When the cell grows and increases the number of sub-cellular structures.
  • DNA replicates to create two copies of each chromosome.

Q

When does a cell need mitosis?

A
  • When the organism grows
  • When the organism becomes damaged and needs to be repaired.
  • An organism like bacteria needs mitosis to produce asexually.
