CBT - Performance Flashcards

1
Q

RLD to ALD? and RLD dry to RLD wet

Dry

A

RLD= 1.67 ALD
ALD = 0.6 RLD
RLD wet= 1.15 RLD Dry

Assumes maximum braking at touchdown without reverse credit for dry rwy

Dispatch uses it to see if the regulatory increment with the actual landing conditions and weights complies with the rwy length at destination

Q

In landing performance, how is reverse thrust taken into account in “DISPATCH” and “IN-FLIGHT”?

A
  • Dispatch: No reverse credit for Dry/Wet. Only for Contaminated
  • In-Flight: Reverse thrust is taken into account for all RWY conditions

In case of dispatch with one rev inop. credit for the operative one is taken into account for contaminated rwys.

Q

In the loadsheet app, what does “CG targetting” and “trim adjustment” entail?

A

CG Targeting: Enables to visualize the predicted fuel distribution after refueling in accordance with teh FQMS CG Targeting logic
Trim Adjustment: When the crew is requested to set the trim tank fuel quantity as per the ECAM FUEl SD information

Q

What is the benefit of derated thrust?

A

Its reduces the overall engines thrust setting for takeoff as to reduce the VMCG thus reducing the V1 which will then require a shorter ASD.

Useful when the ASDA is limiting

Q

What are the main differences between derated and flex takeoff?

A

Derated T/O is allowed on contaminates rwy unlike with flex
TOGA is always available with flex but not with derated takeoff before F speed
